南京市对外文化交流中心成立于2007年8月，是经南京市机构编制委员会批准的社会服务组织。其宗旨是通过民间国际文化交流，与各国、各地区人民增进了解，发展友谊，为南京经济发展、科学进步、文化繁荣服务。
南京市对外文化交流中心设有理事会。理事会由艺术家、学者、企业家等社会各界知名人士组成。理事会常设办事机构是秘书处，下设开展交流的业务部门。
南京市对外文化交流中心的业务活动是：
1．运用媒体、出版物宣传中国、宣传南京。
2．组织出访考察，接待来访参观。
3．在国内外举办演出和各类展览。
4．组织学术研讨、报告会、专题讲座。
5．促进对外民间经济、贸易、社会、教育、科技等领域的合作。
南京市对外文化交流中心愿与海内外人士携手合作，开拓广阔的发展空间。
Nanjing International Cultural Exchange Center is a social commonweal organization founded in Aug. 2007, with its purpose to enhance the understanding and friendship with people throughout the world and serve the economic, scientific and cultural development of Nanjing through nongovernmental international cultural exchange.
The Council of Nanjing International Cultural Exchange Center is made up of artists, scholars, entrepreneurs and other celebrities in various fields. Its permanent office is the Secretariat, in charge of operational sectors that conduct cultural exchange.
The mission of Nanjing International Cultural Exchange Center includes:
·using the media and publications to publicize China and Nanjing;
·organizing and receiving international visits;
·organizing performances and exhibitions at home and abroad;
·organizing academic seminars, reports and lectures.
·promoting cooperation in the economic, trade, social, educational, scientific and technological and other fields.
